The beautiful Candy Dulfer, first began playing the saxophone at the tender age of six. Her father, Hans Dulfer, was known as a promiment saxophonist. Born and bred in the Netherlands, she continued to play her instrument and give the world of Jazz countless of memorable songs including "Lily Was Here" and "For the Love of You". As a child, she joined a few bands including one that she founded on her own until she decided to venture into performing solo acts. It was clear from the beginning that for the now famous Dutch saxophonist, there was nowhere to go but up.
Throughout the earlier span of her musical career, she had successfully released nine studio albums -- including "Saxuality" which garnered her a grammy nomination. Fans will consider her style of playing "smooth jazz" but this hasn't hindered Dulfer from lending her musical stylings to a multitude of performers that range from a wide variety of genres. Popular acts such as Prince and Madonna recognized her talents and have asked her to perform alongside them during some of their concerts.
Candy Dulfer is also no stranger to the world of television. First aired in 2007, she hosted her own television show that showcased her interviews of other fellow musicians. Currently, Dulfer is back into the mainstream public eye as she sits alongside a few other large industry names such as rapper Ali Bouali and pop singer Gordon Heuckeroth as one of the judges in the television show "X Factor" in the Netherlands. Even under the spotlight of television, Dulfur impressively finds the time to continue doing what she does best which is to perform to the delight of her fans worldwide.
